The International Standards Organization and the International Standard Book Number (ISBN) Agencies are imposing a change in the ISBN, the unique number used to identify each edition of every published book/product. Effective January 1, 2007 our industry will be moving from a 10-digit ISBN to a 13-digit ISBN.
McGraw-Hill has set up an ISBN-13 Task Force to prepare all critical systems and to review all customer touchpoints so that we are ISBN-13 compliant in 2007.
Our guiding principle is to make the transition period seamless and painless for our customers. To that end, our ISBN Task Force will be driving solutions that make McGraw-Hill ISBN-13 compliant but enable us to conduct business with our customers regardless of the level of their ISBN-13 compliance.
